**Job Advert Summary**:
Rainbow Chickens is looking for an experienced Refrigeration Fitter to join the Engineering Plant in Worcester, Western Cape. The incumbent will be responsible for the ammonia refrigeration plant operation, including but not limited to, maintenance and improvement thereof.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Grade 12 or NTC 3(relevant trade)
- Trade test as a Refrigeration Technician (Ammonia)
- Valid CAD B Certificate
- 5-years relevant experience in factory maintenance (post qualification)
- Ability to work independantly and under pressure
- Ability to co-ordinate projects
- Prepared to work shifts, standby, call outs and overtime when required
- Ability to do electrical breakdowns on the refrigeration systems
- Ability to do machining will be an advantage
- Knowledge of poultry processing equipment would be an advantage
- Physically fit and able to work in cold conditions, typically below -40 degrees

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Maintain, repair, install refrigeration equipment, systems and compressed airplant.
- Implement all SHEQ procedures by ensuring that the work environment is safe to work.
- Perform standby duties
- Perform all safety inspections and draft reports
- Upgrade equipment for improved performance at reduction of maintenance cost.
- Attend to all scheduled maintenance
