Manages all front office personnel and ensures compliance with Front Office standard operating procedures in order to achieve the highest occupancy levels and the possible room rate.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Manages the Front Office department including strong experience in financial reporting
- Strong experience in rental collections and rental pool distribution
- Develops and executes Front Office policies, procedures and practices
- Supervision and training of all Front Office staff, cash ups, check-ins, check-outs and room allocations and any other front office related duties.
- Ensuring the policies and procedures are followed at all times.
- Liaison between FO / Reservations and the Housekeeping & Maintenance Department
- Charges to guest bills, credit control
- Solve problems and handle complaints
- Conduct on-the-job training for junior staff
- Accurate and timeous submission of all reports and administrative work.
- Planning and timetables
- Any other relevant front office related or management related duties
- Fulfill all Reservation functions i.e. space banking, rentals, Flexi bookings etc.
- Dealing with Timeshare owners and club personnel
- Training and development with especial reference to the night audit functio

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Minimum Grade 12 (Matric), Recognized 3-year tertiary, rooms/ front office hospitality qualification
- 3 years Front Office Management experience in a 5-star property
- Fully bilingual in English or any other European language a distinct advantage
- Good communication skills and guest/customer relations
- An outgoing personality and well groomed
- Computer Literate: Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook and Opera knowledge
- Ability to work under pressure with patience and accuracy
- Must also be self-motivated with initiative
- A strong leader
- Prepared to work shifts and management duties
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong IT skills with a requisite qualification (NQF)
- A clear understanding of financial statements as well as an ability to formulate revenue and expense budgets
- An ability to identify and coherently report on rate and occupancy tends for The Leonardo and the immediate competitor set
- An ability to manage an audit both Opera PMS version 4 as well as Opera Lite
- Highly developed customer orientation, professional charm and sophistication, and being able to teach this to junior Front Office staff
- Outstanding “positive” disposition, a team player and well groomed

Medical Aid and Provident Fund

**Salary**: R24,500.00 per month
