**Main purpose of the job** Incumbents will assist facility management to provide quality primary healthcare at public health facilities supported by MatCH. Activities include integrated screening for Tuberculosis, COVID and HIV; diagnosis of TB; clinical management of patients with drug sensitive and drug resistant TB; site assessments; related quality improvement aligned to National Department of Health standards; and on-site training and mentoring.

**Key performance areas** - Day to day service delivery at Department of Health facilities and at community outreaches - Support and coordinate screenings for TB, COVID and HIV; and contact tracing at facilities and in the community - Support diagnosis of tuberculosis in children, adolescents, and adults - Clinical assessments, management, and monitoring of patients with drug sensitive and drug resistant TB - Provide direct service delivery and onsite mentoring to facility staff - Coordinating, implementing, and reporting on clinical activities - Conduct needs assessments and supporting the development, implementation and monitoring quality improvement plans - Completing patient records in line with guidelines - Coordination and collection of project related data and reporting of the data to line manager for submission to the donor - Submit weekly and monthly progress reports - Any ad hoc activities in line with the nature of the job.

**Professional Body** o Current registration with the South African Nursing Council

**Minimum work experience** o 2 years’ experience in public health setting Desirable additional education, work experience and personal abilities o NIMART Certificate o Positive, enthusiastic, and self-motivated approach to work o Driver’s license, own vehicle and willingness to travel. o Demonstrated resourcefulness and ability to problem solve. o Ability to ensure all tasks are seen through to completion. o Attention to detail and quality. o Experience in dealing with provincial and local health authorities. o Good written and verbal communication skills o Organized, thorough and accurate approach to work. o Ability to work in a multi
- disciplinary team with diverse backgrounds. o Available to commence work immediately.
