Our client is a thriving and dynamic audit firm situated in Tygervalley, Western Cape. With an unwavering commitment to excellence and a steadfast focus on delivering bespoke, top-tier service, we are seeking an Audit Manager to join their team of specialists.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Auditing**:

- Plan, conduct, manage and finalise audits, including the budget for the audit.

**Financial Statements**:

- Draft financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting framework

**Taxation**:

- Calculate provisional and annual taxes for clients.
- Calculate tax efficient structures for clients.

**Client portfolio management**:

- Develop and maintain good relationships with clients.
- Maintain a good level of knowledge about clients’ business activities and challenges.
- Record and communicate this knowledge on the client files to all staff and management dealing with the client.
- Deal with client queries.
- Identify opportunities for cross selling other services.

**Team Management**:

- Allocate work to trainees.
- Provide on-going ‘on-the-job’ training and mentoring to team members.
- Review audit files and reviews, annual financial statements and tax returns.
- Review LOR and PDS for the team’s SAICA trainee contracts and provide feedback.

**Qualifications, Experience and Skills**
- Completed SAICA articles a requirement
- Associate General Accountant AGA(SA)
- Registered CA(SA) is beneficial
- Excellent technical knowledge of Audit Standards, Companies Act, VAT Act, Income Tax Act and IFRS for SME’e.
- Experience of auditing and reviewing small to medium-sized companies, bodies corporate, etc.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to take ownership of work and meet deadlines.
- Excellent time management skills.
- A high degree of motivation and the ability to motivate others.
- Leadership ability with a strong desire to supervise and mentor junior team members.
- A high level of attention to detail on client engagement files.
