- The Tax Department is seeking to employ a highly competent, hardworking and energized individual, based at Clicks Head Office in Cape Town, reporting to the Group Tax Manager.**Job description**

**JOB PURPOSE**

To assist the Group Tax Manager in managing the tax function

**JOB OBJECTIVES**
- Assist Group Tax Manager in responding to enquiries raised by local and foreign Revenue Authorities on Income Tax matters.
- Preparation of income tax returns and schedules in support of the returns for all companies within the Group.
- Preparation and updating of Country-by-Country Reporting and ad-hoc Transfer Pricing requirements.
- Assist with tax related matters on various ad hoc projects.
- Research legal tax principles relating to specific matters.
- Review of monthly EMP201 submission for local and foreign companies.
- Review of monthly VAT201 submission for local and foreign companies.
- Ensure that company policies are in line with current employee tax and VAT legislation.

**JOB RELATED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**
- Post five years’ experience in a large corporate environment.
- Africa tax exposure.
- Working knowledge of Employee’s Tax, VAT, Income Tax & Transfer Pricing.
- Working knowledge of deferred tax.
- Strong technical financial background backed up with good experience.
- Working knowledge of E-Filing.
- Resilient and able to work under pressure to achieve tight deadlines.
- Ability to work with large amounts of data.
- Ability to resolve conflicts with SARS through continuous engagement.
- Research legal principles of Tax and report to management on compliance.
- SAP working experience advantageous.
- High level of computer literacy and knowledge of Windows based programmes such as Excel, Word, etc.
- Attention to fine detail.
