Our client is currently seeking an experienced Sigmanest Programmer to join their team.

**Requirements**:

- Grade 12 / Equivalent
- A minimum of three years’ experience as a Sigmanest Programmer from a Steel Service Centre background
- Excellent communication skills
- Advanced MS Excel
- Proven experience on at least one the following 3 programs:

- Sigmanest
- Tru-Tops
- Tru-Tops Boost
- Ability to prioritise and work under pressure
- Analytical & problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work shifts

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Develop CNC programs using SigmaNEST software based on engineering drawings, specifications, and job requirements.
- Utilize SigmaNEST ’nesting algorithms to optimize material usage, minimize waste, and increase efficiency in production processes.
- Set up CNC machines and equipment according to programmed specifications, including tooling selection, fixture setup, and machine parameters adjustment.
- Ensure that CNC programs produce parts that meet quality standards and specifications, performing quality checks and adjustments as necessary.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues related to CNC programming, machine operation, and tooling to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Continuously evaluate and improve CNC programming techniques, tooling strategies, and production processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and quality.
- Work closely with engineers, machinists, and production personnel to understand project requirements, provide technical support, and address any programming-related concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of CNC programs, revisions, setup sheets, and related documentation to ensure traceability and compliance with industry standards.
- Provide training and support to operators and other team members on CNC programming, machine operation, and best practices for using SigmaNEST software.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures while working with CNC machines, tools, and equipment to maintain a safe working environment for oneself and others.
- Stay updated on advancements in CNC programming technologies, software updates, and industry trends through training, seminars, and professional development activities.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines to ensure timely delivery of parts and components according to production schedules.
