We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner to assist us at a clinic, to help with the baby clinic, assist the on-site doctor, drips, health immunizations, reproductive health services, adult immunizations, primary health care (minor ailments and wound care), ear stringing and Phlebotomy Services.

- To counsel and advise patients on health information, and weight management and refer patients to
Pharmacists, The Doctor, and/ or other health professionals when appropriate
- To ensure patient information is held securely, confidentially, and is accurately maintained, and
that invoices are generated for all services rendered.
- To ensure the efficient running of the clinic through effective administration, booking of locums,
when required and through accurate and timely reporting on financial and stock management
- To ensure efficient stock management and to prevent stock loss and shrinkage
- To monitor the cold chain and take necessary precautions to ensure the cold chain is always
maintained.
- To manage medical waste and take necessary safety precautions.
- To establish and build health professional networks in order to further enhance the commercial
viability of the clinic and the service offered to patients
- To manage adverse events and emergencies in a professional and effective manner
- To ensure proper, professional communication and workflow occur between the clinic and the
pharmacy
- To ensure that the clinic is clean and all required equipment is sterile

**Skills**:

- immunization both child and adult,
phlebotomy, ability to drip a patient, wound care, patient resuscitation

**Experience: Essential**:

- A minimum of 3 years of practical experience in a broad range of nursing disciplines, preferably
Community Health, Primary Health, and Midwifery
- Experience with Discovery Vitality is desirable but not essential

**Education**:

- Essential: Registered Nursing Practitioner with SANC
- Essential: 3-year Diploma in Nursing or the 4-year degree

**Requirements**:

- Physically well and able to work the required number of hours per month. (Clinic Hours)
- Clear credit check and no criminal record
Hours: +/-160 hours per month
Monday
- Friday 8:30-5:30 (1-hour lunch break)
Saturday 8:30-1:00
When a Saturday is worked a morning or afternoon off will be given in lieu of time
worked.

**Benefits**
15 working days leave P/A
13th cheque
Staff account

**Salary**:R25 000 per month
This is negotiable depending on experience
