Van Assistant

Our client, a leading provider of high-quality fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) in South Africa, requires your experience as a Van Assistant for one of their operations in Montague Gardens. As part of the supply chain team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient distribution of their products to their valued customers.

We require dedicated and reliable Van Assistants. The Van Assistant will be responsible for supporting delivery operations by assisting the Driver in transporting goods from the manufacturing facility to various destinations. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist the Van Driver in loading and unloading goods onto the delivery van.
- Ensure that all products are properly secured and accounted for during transit.
- Assist in navigating routes to ensure timely delivery of goods to designated locations.
- Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the delivery van.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues or concerns that may arise.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating the delivery van.

**Qualifications**:

- Matric / Grade 12 is required.
- Prior experience in a similar role preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as needed.

Please note that these are urgent positions and need to be filled soonest. You will be employed by us as the agency and assigned to the client for the duration of your contract.

**Salary**: R37,80 per hour

Expected hours: 42.50 per week
