We are seeking to employ an Internal Auditor (Finance), within our Group Internal Audit department, based at our Head Office in Woodstock, Cape Town, reporting to the Finance Audit Manager.

**Job description**:
**Purpose and Objectives**
- Performing audits in line with the Clicks Group internal audit methodology.- Mapping of processes to evaluate effectiveness of the control environment.
- Identify areas of risk within the organisation and propose appropriate controls to mitigate the risks.
- Identify key controls and test adequacy and effectiveness for higher risk areas identified in each process.
- Assessing compliance with policies, standards and procedures.
- Prepare audit planning documents
- Prepare audit work papers.
- Document control breaks identified.
- Prepare draft audit reports for discussion with business.
- Discuss audit findings and recommendations with Business Unit leader/control owner
- Monitor the timely implementation of the recommendations in the audit reports.
- Conducting ad
- hoc store compliance and other reviews whilst maintaining independence.
- Attend stock counts.

**Minimum requirements**:
**Qualifications and Experience**
- Completed Degree/Diploma in Internal Auditing or Accounting
- Experience in Retail will be advantageous.
- 1-2 years’ work experience in a similar role (auditing, accounting, financial analysis, information systems or related fields)
- Passed part I of IIA exam
- Driver’s licence - Essential

**Skills, Abilities and Job Related Knowledge**
- An ability to gather, analyse and evaluate facts and to prepare and present concise oral and written reports.
- An ability to communicate and articulate matters to an executive audience as the IA reports are sent to the Audit and Risk Committee.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and an ability to interrogate accounting entries and processes.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Work, Excel and Visio.
- Participative style and believes in working in a team environment.
- Display a professional, constructive and positive approach during the review.
- Display an eagerness to learn and has internal audit/finance career ambitions.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Contribute to an environment of open communication and teamwork
- Proactive and able to articulate identified area of improvement
