A great mining company in Gauteng is seeking the expertise of a Mine Overseer to join their team.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Contribute to the management of risk within own field of expertise.
- Assess Mining risks and incorporate mitigating controls.
- Maintain and update the Mining component of the risk register. Mining Management
- Manage the Mining Section teams, systems and processes.
- Analyse, and interpret Mining data, and reports, and take corrective actions as required.
- Provide effective problem-solving support to the Mining teams.
- Participate in the daily Mining meeting
- Plan and manage Mining resources (personnel, equipment and materials) as required
- Maintain and update the Shaft schedule
- Design and plan underground layouts
- Identify Underground Operations improvement opportunities.
- Implement Underground Operations improvement projects and initiatives.
- Supervise a project team of an Underground Operations project to deliver project objectives.
- Contribute to the management of project risk within own field of expertise.
- Develop a simple schedule to facilitate effective project execution.
- Monitor, evaluate and communicate simple project schedules
- Focus on safe production & operational excellence
- Focus on safety and health as well as operational excellence.

**Requirements**:

- Grade 12
- Blasting Certificate for Scheduled Mines
- Mine Overseer Certificate of Competency
- 5 - 10 years of experience in an underground mining environment as a Production Supervisor
