Key Accounts Rep - EC Sales

East London-Eastern Cape

Join our recognised global pharmaceutical company, a leader in innovative healthcare solutions, as a Medical Sales Representative. We're seeking a dedicated and results-driven individual to join our team. As a Medical Representative, you'll be instrumental in promoting their products to healthcare professionals, playing a crucial role in achieving the company's goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Engage with Pharmacists, General Practitioners, and Clinics, delivering product information and raising awareness.
- Cultivate and nurture professional relationships with healthcare providers to influence prescribing behaviour and drive sales.
- Meet call rate targets to ensure comprehensive coverage of the customer base.
- Devise and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and maximize market share in the designated territory.
- Monitor sales performance, identify areas for improvement, and take corrective actions to meet or exceed budget targets.
- Implement marketing strategies, campaigns, and promotions effectively within the assigned territory.
- Deliver product presentations, arrange educational events, and participate in medical conferences as needed.
- Provide timely feedback to the marketing team on market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions with healthcare professionals in the CRM system.
- Stay abreast of the latest medical and scientific developments relevant to assigned therapeutic areas.
- Continuously enhance product knowledge and stay informed about competitors' products.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legal, ethical, and regulatory guidelines governing pharmaceutical sales activities.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in a life science or related field is advantageous.
- Proven experience as a Medical Representative or similar role in the pharmaceutical industry is desirable.
- Strong understanding of sales and general medicine is highly desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage healthcare professionals.
- Results-oriented mindset with a demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while also being a team player.
- Valid driver's license, vehicle, and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and proficiency in using digital tools as well as advanced MS Excel skill
