**Responsibilities**:

- Performing accurate diagnostics on all vehicles according to manufacture's standard.
- Establishing parts required for service or repairs to be performed and ensure that correct parts are ordered.
- Servicing and Repairing Vehicles to Manufacture Specifications.
- Reporting to the foreman promptly on any additional work required.
- Obtaining authorization prior to carrying out additional work.
- Obtaining technical information from Foreman on problem jobs.
- Adhering strictly to technical specifications laid down by manufacturers.
- Performing duties according to manufacturer’s standards.
- Adhering to laid down workshop policies and procedures.
- Writing a short but concise description of all work performed on the back of the job card including the cause and correction.
- Ensuring that all old parts are placed in a plastic bag in the boot of the car, except in the case of warranty work where old parts must be tagged and returned to the control tower.
- Ensuring that all oils and consumables used are booked on the job card.
- Ensuring that vehicle is kept as clean as possible, and that seat and fender covers are used.
- Ensuring that work area is kept safe, clean, and tidy.
- Ensuring that time recording on time sheet is done correctly and as soon as possible after work is completed.
- Reporting any faulty and/or broken equipment to the Foreman.
- Ensuring that special tools and equipment are used with the utmost care.
- Repairing vehicles according to specifications as instructed and within the flat rate time.
- Accepting responsibility for apprentices/learners and impact through explanation and practise, the necessary skills required to perform the job correctly and thereafter to inspect/monitor the work and rectify any problems.
- Ensuring neat appearance.
- Maintaining cordial relationship with workshop staff.

**Requirements**:

- Matric Certificate is essential.
- Must have a Trade Certificate as a Auto Technician, in the Motor Industry.
- Ability to diagnose complex problems within specified time.
- 3 Years’ Experience after qualifying.
- 2 years Diagnostic IVECO Experience.

**Education**:

- High School (matric) (required)

**Experience**:

- diagnostic Iveco: 2 years (required)

License/Certification:

- Trade Certificate as Auto Technician (required)
