Grain Grader

Responsible for ensuring the overall adherence & compliance to quality and grading standards of products received by stakeholders, as well as administration of grain products.

**Requirements**:

- Grade 12 certificate
- Minimum 2-4 experience in a similar role
- Grain grading certificates essential (Wheat, Maize, Ground Nuts, Lusern)
- Fumigation certificates essential
- Computer literate
- Code 8 Driver's License
- Forklift License and Fire Fighting certificate
- Clear Criminal Record
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English
- Constantly adding value to the current functions of the position
- New Management Programme will serve as a recommendation

**Key tasks**:

- Execute grading of import and export loads (Lucerne, Maize, Pecan nuts, Ground Nuts / Peanuts and Cotton) according to regulations and standards.
- Quality Assurance and Quality Control of export products.
- Fumigation on Import and export stock
- Repacking of damaged bags / goods
- Lucerne grading confirmations, weekly lucerne stock confirmation and ensure that packaging meets set standards.
- Handling Insurance claims and investigations of product.
- Handling deviations on volume and mass at Durban warehouses
- Sale of damaged product.
- Ensure equipment is of a functional standard, maintained and calibrated where applicable;
- Report any quality discrepancies directly to the senior;
- Provide general support to the department such as accurate tracking of stock control cards
- Assist with the administrative functions related to security, health and safety aspects
- Manage client services by ensuring processes are in place to prevent escalation of client complaint
- Be a Company ambassador and a good team player.

Pay: R21 000,00 - R33 000,00 per month

- Grain Grading: 3 years (required)

License/Certification:

- Grain Grading Certificate (required)
- Fumigation Certificate (required)
