Pod Leader

Outsourced CFO is looking for a POD leader who plays a vital role in managing a team of accounting professionals whilst providing technical guidance and oversight and ensuring that all client compliance work is completed effectively, on time and within budget.
- Reporting directly to the Head of Cloud Accounting, job responsibilities will include, among other:_
**- Client Service and administration**:

- Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and timely responses
- Manage a team of accounting professionals to ensure on-time completion of annual & monthly client compliance work
- Provide technical oversight and ensure adherence to accounting and tax laws and regulations
- Review and sign off on annual financial statements
- Ensure effective scoping of services for clients and align service delivery accordingly
- Assist finance in debtors' follow-up for timely client payments
- Contribute to sales meetings and new business development
- Handle administrative tasks, including billing, onboarding, and offboarding of clients

**- Planning and administration**:

- Ensure accurate submission of weekly timesheets by POD team members
- Evaluate monthly budget vs. actuals for the POD
- Update CRM and manage project tasks in the monthly capacity planner
- Timeous submission of Timesheets before COB on Fridays

**- Management**:

- Collaborate with other POD Leaders and management to enhance service delivery and contribute to firm growth
- Conduct team meetings, provide coaching, and deliver performance feedback
- Support onboarding and training of new team members then mentor team members within your POD
- Participate in weekly Cloud Accounting leadership meetings and prepare accordingly
- Perform monthly planning meetings to distribute work, meet deadlines, and optimize resource utilization
- Budget management

**- Training**:

- Ensure that scheduled training is completed
- Engage technical team on items if you feel you do are not equipped to perform these tasks
- Deliverable training update
- Presenting training to the cloud accounting team

Permanent Contract - Subject to a three-month probation period.
