Medical Aid rate based on principal member only)- To be confirmed- Advert Closing Date- 5/2/2024- Job PurposeThe purpose of this opportunity is to appoint a part-time lecturer to teach Social Sciences (Geography) in the Department of Intermediate Phase (not exceeding 24 hours per month at a rate of R275 per hour).
- Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience- A Masters’ degree relevant to Social Science (Geography)
- A relevant teaching qualification
- At least five (5) years’ recent experience in teaching Geography at school level or two (2) years’ experience teaching Geography at tertiary level
- Knowledge, understanding and experience in the preparation and evaluation of meaningful teaching experiences for Intermediate Phase students

**RECOMMENDATIONS**:

- Knowledge and understanding of CAPS in the Intermediate Phase
- Knowledge and understanding of the importance and challenges of Intermediate Phase teaching in the 21st century
- Experience in the planning, designing and editing of teaching and learning materials (including electronic)
- Ability to use a hybrid approach involving both on-campus and off-campus learning and teaching

- Administering, supervising and evaluating teaching experiences
