**Job Advert Summary**:
**PURPOSE**:

- Responsible for effectively and proactively establishing, maintaining, and reporting on project cost controls, performance management, and schedules for projects within the Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) Portfolio Management Office (PMO). To ensure that sound project management practices are applied across all projects.
- To ensure delivery of high-level expert support to contribute effectively to project management and ESG integration.

**Minimum Requirements**:
**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- B Eng (Relevant) (Essential/Minimum or)
- BCom (Relevant) (Essential/Minimum)
- Management Development Programme (Essential/Minimum)
- Certificate Project Management (Recommended/Desirable)

**EXPERIENCE**:
3-5 years Proficiency in project scheduling, cost engineering, and project controls methods and tools. Experience in planning and establishing cost and scheduling work breakdown structures (WBS) and collection of performance data. Development of exception reports of schedule deviations, and recovery plans. Familiarity with finance and accounting systems. (Essential/Minimum) Management

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
**Compliance, Governance and Assurance**
- Adhere to Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA) and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act and comply with company specific Safety Health and Environment (SHE) policies and procedures and other legal requirements
- Assist in assurance reviews on project controls
- Compliance to governance in terms of project management
- Ensure compliance to South African National (SANS) standards and regulations
- Assist PMO Manager to develop ESG specific Portfolio Management Plans
- Assist PMO Manager to ensure that ESG PMO is setup in accordance with relevant policies and procedures

**Functional Excellence**
- Financial management: Assist in the preparing/managing of ESG project budgets
- Strategic alignment/planning: Assist to set project controls key success factors
- Performance management: Implement project controls responsibilities through disciplined execution processes, track implementation and provide feedback to ESG PMO Manager.
- Set and maintain high performance standards. Track and drive project targets/goals.
- Continuous improvement: Identify, advocate for and lead project controls improvement and change. Create a culture of continuous improvement and change agility.
- Engagement/communication: Communicate and engage with ESG PMO Team

**Functional Excellence**
- Standardise, simplify and speed-up project controls processes and eliminate duplication/bureaucracy
- Drive and execute project controls initiatives
- Identify and manage critical project controls risks through appropriate mitigation plans/actions.
- Establish and maintain a project control internal and external resource network
- Assist ESG Assurance and Systems Specialist to ensure that all ESG project and portfolio performance KPI’s and data are accurately captured in the appropriate systems.
- Assist PMO Manager to ensure that all ESG projects and portfolios are registered and managed on the prescribed project management systems.
