**Key responsibilities, amongst others, will include**:

- Management of merchandise financial plans and timelines (actualisations, approvals, validations, etc.)
- Month-end financial pack inclusive of all reports
- Business Process champion: Automation and Enhancement (GAP Analysis)
- Engage with DC to ensure inventory flow is well managed on a consistent basis and ensure proper coverage for major events and occasions (Logistics capacity planning)
- Promotional and markdown management/uploads (Including re-pricing, ticketing requirements and store reports)
- Markdown reconciliation with finance and all supplier claim recons with finance
- Database Management (Attributes, Pricing, Stock Status, etc.)
- Initiation of stock moves across categories actioned where required to re-align to business strategy or drive opportunities or efficiencies
- Identifying opportunities for stock turn improvements (efficiency)
- New & Revamp store viabilities and strategy as well as profiling planned (Store grade/cluster management) - Management of calendar in line with Group Store Development
- Monitoring new and revamp stores with monthly feedback to merchants and operations
- To achieve the above through building constructive and mutually beneficial relationships with key functions within the business.
- A relevant tertiary qualification
- 3+ years’ proven merchandise distribution and planning experience
- A high degree of numeracy and an analytical, detailed and strategic approach to work
- Strong business acumen, merchant thinking
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
- A high degree of decision-making ability
- Service orientated and self-motivated
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Assertive communication skills and the ability to communicate and develop relationships at all levels
- Computer literacy and systems aptitude
- Product knowledge will be advantageous
