Client based 15km outside of Pietermaritzburg is seeking an energetic individual to join their feedlot team

The desired applicant must have some experience in, grown up in, or been educated in/towards such an environment.

The chosen applicant will be trained for, inter alia,
- Allocation of daily tasks and supervision of employees
- The general management of the infrastructure matters, including but not limited to all routine housekeeping, e.g., water reticulation and drainage, road and pen surfaces, manure removal, etc.
- General farm duties
- Receiving and off-loading cattle
- Day to day health assessment of the animals
- Administer medicines / vaccines
- Co-ordinate and control cattle throughout the feedlot
- Selection of cattle for slaughter

The following skills will be required:

- A working knowledge of Zulu is essential
- Computer literacy
- Minimum code EB driver’s licence (Non-endorsed)

Weekend duties are required, currently every 3rd weekend, which will be remunerated.
