**VACANCY: FABRICATION - FSD FOREMAN**

**TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT: PERMANENT**

**GRADE**:C-UPPER**

**PURPOSE OF THE POSITION**
- The purpose of this position is to ensure that the right amount of the right product will be dispatched at the right time to ensure customer order is met;
- Ensure that all the activities within the Final Storage and Dispatch (FSD) department are running effectively i.e. packing, storing, and allocating final products as per requirement as well as stock control and verification with the ERP system;
- Adhere to regulations as stipulated by the SACAA and EU ACC3;
- SAP Processing;
- Stock control completed daily against SAP and physical stock;
- Work overtime, shifts and be flexible as per production and Treasury requirements;
- Stock balancing and logistic activities;
- Maintain stock levels of packaging materials used for shipment both local and international;
- Data capturing of daily shipments for tracking purposes;
- Adherence to finished goods and dispatch policies, procedures and operations;
- Reporting any relevant issues or concerns to the Fabrication Manager;
- Managing all processes associated with exporting locally and international shipments to ensure all customer requirements are met;
- Daily, monthly and quarterly reporting to Treasury and Fabrication;
- Support the precious metal dealers, FSD personnel, Security personnel and Logistics function;
- Ensure adherence to internal and external controls;
- Manages time and attendance of all associates reporting to the role;
- Ensures cover in department to meet all orders/shipments on time;
- Manages staff overtime ensuring compliance with all acts for health, safety, quality and risk;
- Maintains all work instructions and updates as and when required;
- Ensure all staff are trained on work instructions;
- Maintains all operational SHE training for internal and external legal requirements;
- Identify suitable/necessary training to enable associates to perform their duties.

**DECISION MAKING**
- Open ended, risky decisions or recommendations, requiring detailed research and analysis, where the success of the outcome may not be known for some time after making the decision.

**DIVERSITY OF WORK**
- Carries out specialist, technical or first level management responsibilities within a department or discipline;
- Instilling discipline among subordinates concerning their role and responsibilities.

**EXTERNAL CUSTOMERS**
- Customers receiving product - sending shipments on a daily basis as per orders placed on Treasury;
- Managing the bank vaults with Security including and not limited to stock movement, balance control and SAP transactions;
- Liaising with Security to witness transfers;
- Presenting department for all external audits and maintaining compliance.

**INTERNAL CUSTOMERS**
- Dealing with internal customers and suppliers. Will include but not limited to Fabrication, Asset Care, Security, Refinery, Treasury, Vault, IT and Procurement.

**RESOURCE PLANNING AND EXECUTION**
- Communicated performance against accurate standards & Budgets for plant shop-floor management;
- Provides daily accurate stock control reports between SAP and physical stock;
- All shipping documentation clear and meets ACAA and other regulations;
- Assists in undertaking cost improvement studies to identify root cause of issues relating to reliability, waste and efficiencies;
- Check stock and enter correct amounts daily onto excel for printing-Accurate amounts, manager feedback, stock records.

**PEOPLE MANAGEMENT**
- Manages labour relations by:

- Ensuring that all employees under control are full conversant with IR procedures and policy.
- Instilling a culture of resolving employee relations issues through informal dispute resolution procedures.
- Ensuring that formal disciplinary cases are properly prepared and conducted.
- Assess manpower requirements and develop, implement and monitor succession planning principles.
- Plans appropriate employee training and development, in order to ensure the continued and smooth operation of the department.

**OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCIES**
- Provides expertise to all departments through the preparation, checking and maintenance of departmental reporting systems;
- Drives timeous and accurate reporting, together with recommended action plans to Plant management studies and projects assigned to the department regarding any and all aspects of the plant operation;
