**Extrusion Operator (Cast Line and/or Blown Film Plastic Extrusion)** - **Maitland, Cape Town** -**Approximately R42.00/hour**

Packaging Solutions Company seeks a highly skilled and motivated Extrusion Operator with experience in cast line and/or blown film plastic extrusion. As an Extrusion Operator, you will play a crucial role in our production process, ensuring the efficient operation of our extrusion machinery.

**Responsibilities**:

- Set up, operate, and monitor cast line and/or blown film plastic extrusion machinery to produce high-quality packaging materials according to specifications.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Adjust machine settings, including temperature, speed, and pressure, to achieve desired product characteristics.
- Monitor product quality during the production process, conducting regular tests and inspections to identify and resolve any issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions, making necessary adjustments and repairs as needed.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet production targets and timelines.
- Document production data, including material usage, machine settings, and downtime, accurately and timely.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality concerns to the supervisor.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience as an Extrusion Operator, specifically in cast line and/or blown film plastic extrusion.
- In-depth knowledge of extrusion processes, equipment, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and operating manuals.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform quality checks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet production targets.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
