We are seeking a driven and ambitious **Draughtsman/ Junior Project Manager** for the iconic, upscaled Melrose Arch Precinct based in Sandton.

**The successful incumbent responsibilities includes, but not limited to**:

- OHSA guidelines, contractor safety, planning and scheduling, employee relations, contractor productivity, quality control and administration.
- Drawings: Proficient CAD / auto CAD skills for preparation of necessary leasing, marketing and construction drawings. Must have a basic understanding of construction methodologies and building services to correctly interpret existing drawings.
- Safety: The person must provide leadership that results in a safe work culture, is responsible and accountable for the safety of the contractors under their direction and must understand and accept the importance and legal liability of the role.
- Planning & Scheduling: The person is accountable for following project plans, schedules and for ensuring that contractors meet production goals.
- Employees Relations: The person must promote, support and facilitate teamwork. They must be able to recognize and address issues/problems between clients and contractors.
- Quality Control: The person is accountable for ensuring that the completed work meets quality standards. This includes onsite assessments prior to commencement, overseeing the execution of the work and inspecting & measuring the completed work.
- Administration: The person is accountable for the presentation of reports/notifications to the company as well as to the contractor/client. Detailed record keeping of all project relevant information.
- Experience in project planning and safety, employment standards as well as company policies, reading plans and translating them onto site.
- Ability to lead and motivate colleagues as well as contractors
- Ability to handle the administrative duties of the position

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Project Management or Industry related Degree/Diploma
- Previous management experience (advantageous)
- 3 -5 years’ experience in the construction, shop fitting, property industry (essential)
- MS projects OR similar (beneficial)
- 3 years or more CAD / Auto CAD experience (required)
- First Aid and Fire Safety training a requirement
- License and reliable vehicle (required)
- Must be willing to work after-hours when needed
