Our client in the **Travel Industry** is looking for a dynamic, organized and detail-orientated **Finance Administrator** to join their team based in **Stellenbosch**.
Please note this position is available as a 6-month contract.
**Overall Job Purpose**:
This role primarily focuses on supporting the debtors and creditors' functions within the **finance department**. As a Finance Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely management of financial transactions.
**Job Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Assist with the management of debtors and creditors such as processing invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
- Monitor and follow-up on outstanding payments and resolve any discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure the smooth flow of financial operations.
- Prepare regular financial reports and summaries.
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
- Provide general administrative support to the finance department as needed.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in a finance or accounting role (must), with exposure to debtors and creditors functions (preferable).
- Proficient in financial software and systems (e.g., Xero, Excel).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of travel industry financial processes and systems is a plus.
- Relevant finance or accounting qualifications would be advantageous.
