CSV is currently seeking to add an experienced **Civil Engineering Technician** to its team of professionals.

**CIVIL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN - 12 MONTH CONTRACT**

**SITE BASED POSITION: GORDON'S BAY, WESTERN CAPE (Permanent)**

**Job Summary**:
The Civil Engineering Technician will provide technical support to Civil Engineers and Construction Managers in the planning, construction and management of Civil Engineering projects.

These positions call for individuals who are practically inclined and have experience working on Construction Sites.

**Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Read and review project drawings and plans
- Assist managers in planning the work programme
- Surveying and mapping out structures
- Liaise with project stakeholders - Client Representatives, Engineers
- Assist with the delivery of project requirements as they relate to scope, quantities, cost and schedule
- Supervising and managing employees, subcontractors and work activities
- Responsible for resource and material management
- Completing works to deadlines and quality standards
- Attending Site Meetings
- Assessing and managing safety protocols
- Resolving problems and implementing improvements
- Completing relevant client reports

- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Good understanding of industry codes and standards
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Problem solving mindset with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Adaptability and flexibility to meet project demands
- **Education and Experience**:_
- A relevant degree in civil engineering from an accredited University or Technikon
- 5 years experience working on medium to large sized construction projects.
- Sound understanding of engineering codes and technical standards
- **Additional Requirements**:_
- Must have a valid drivers licence
- Must be medically fit
- *Preference will be given to individuals already based in the Western Cape
- Please note that all placements will be made in accordance with the Company Employment Equity Policies and Practices._
