Assistant Compounder

**Requirements**:

- A completed National Senior Certificate qualification (matric / Grade 12).
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English, with clear and effective communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Demonstrated competency in mathematical calculations.
- Experience in this field would be advantageous, as well as an interest in soap and body products.
- A quality-driven individual with good planning, organisational, execution and monitoring skills.
- Creative problem-solving skills.
- Action and results oriented, with the ability to multitask.
- Assertive, proactive and resilient.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manufacturing soap and body products under supervision.
- Continuously improving manufacturing processes through innovative solutions.
- Maintaining equipment and adhering to processes in full compliance with guidelines.
- Participating in team projects and supporting other departments.
- Ensuring delivery of quality products and complying with good manufacturing practice (GMP).
- Adhering to health and safety procedures.
- Continuously build and support a sound quality assurance culture aligned to GMP and the company’s continuous improvement system (5S).
- Assist with hosting soap workshops.
- Sampling raw materials received and products manufactured and keeping retention samples.
- Performing routine pH testing and standard calculations to operate a scale (balance).
- Stock control and monitoring.
- Equipment monitoring and alerting senior colleagues of any breakage, malfunctioning or discrepancies.
- Contributing to efficient running of the department by attending daily production meetings.
- Following standard operating procedures and good housekeeping procedures.
