Coordinating workflow in the service department, between service advisors, foreman and customers.
- Updating service customers on all service bookings and progress timeously.
- Being a team player, to be able to work all respective stakeholders.
- Ensure workshop opening and closing daily and timeously.
- Ensure the security of vehicles, i.e. vehicles locked in workshops and keys locked in a key safe.
- Ensuring first thing in the morning that vehicles are parked outside and that the keys are locked in a key safe.
- Ensuring job cards are signed & compliant as per Motus & MBSA requirements.
- Assisting and timeously advising Technicians on quotes.
- Give assistance to the Controller, Foreman, Service Manager, Service Receptionist
- Follow up on parts ordered to workshop within a 5-day turnaround time as per MBSA requirements
- Book in vehicles with completed relevant information in line with Cargo Motors Compliance requirements.
- Ensure that all vehicles with specific complaints are test driven with either a Foreman or a Quality Controller before the client leaves the dealership where necessary
- Ensure that all vehicles are test driven
- Record and report comebacks as per Cargo Motors compliance requirements

**Position Overview**:
**Mercedes-Benz Bedfordview **currently holds a vacancy for a **Service Advisor **reporting to the **Service Manager. **This position will be suited to a person who has the ability to maintain high levels of service on an on-going basis, ability to provide excellent customer service.

**Specific Role Responsibilities**:

- Ensure that all customers (internal & External) are kept informed regarding progress of their vehicles daily
- Ensure the promotion and adherence to safety standards
- Sell accessories and additional work
- Ensure parts are ordered according to the parts ordering system
- Prepare quotations to be authorized timeously
- Follow up on sales not made (no shows) - rebook to prevent any lost opportunity.
- Follow up on work in progress daily to ensure customer feedback; no missed sale opportunity & no late warranty. maintenance claim submissions.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- A minimum of 3 years’ Service Advisor experience is essential.
- Three years’ Mercedes-Benz experience on products - is highly recommended and will be an added advantage
- A minimum of Grade 12.
- Clear Criminal Record
- Motor industry experience will be an advantage
- Valid Drivers’ License
- Computer literacy in Kerridge
- A Mercedes-Benz Certified Service Certification will be an added advantage
