**Main purpose of the job**:

- To be responsible for full asset functions, including capitalization, asset tagging, verification, disposals, deletions, transfers, reconciliations, reporting & liaising with sites

**Location**:

- **31 Princess of Wales Terrace, Parktown - Johannesburg**

**Key performance areas**:

- Adherence to systems, procedures, and policies to company and departmental guidelines
- Effective processing of all asset functions daily to ensure month-end processing is timeously and accurately completed, in accordance with company policies
- Ensure effective clearing of asset suspense accounts and capital work-in-progress accounts
- Ensure all correct documentation and information is obtained to meet objectives and deadlines
- Conduct asset verification and take the relevant action for unverified assets
- Effective maintenance and updating of the asset register and asset listing to ensure all records are complete and up-to-date
- Effective maintenance of schedules and lists, including site contacts list
- Assist with monthly fixed asset reconciliation
- Compilation and submission of stats/reports as per requirements
- Communication with the grants team, site staff, and other internal departments
- Assist grants team with information & reports
- Responds to queries and concerns to meet business needs
- Compilation and submission of documents for audit (statutory and donor audits)
- Maintain a manual and electronic filing and storage system as required per WHC policies and procedures
- Inform the Supervisor of issues and activities related to systems, processes, etc.
- Provide suggestions and solutions to improving and enhancing processes

**Required minimum education and training**:

- **Grade 12**:

- **Finance related Diploma or Degree will be an added advantage**

**Required minimum work experience**:

- **Minimum 1-year of accounting system processing experience with general administration experience**:

- **Experience with fixed assets will be an added advantage**

**Desirable additional education, work experience, and personal abilities**
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional organization and administrative skills
- Sound financial and business acumen
- Strong computer and business solutions software skills with advanced Excel skills
- Able to work in a pressurized environment with interruptions and manage large volumes
- Able to work overtime as and when required
- Must have a driver’s License
- Able to travel to visit sites as and when required
