**Supply Chain Specialist - Johannesburg Gauteng**

**Salary: Market Related**

**Purpose of Position**:
Complement Recruitment are recruiting for a Supply Chain Specialist from the Retail or FMCG sector. The primary responsibility is to oversee all Supply Chain related activities to ensure effective forecasting of inventory based on a defined our forecast process. The supply chain specialist will be responsible for the end-to-end import of inventory to ensure the pipeline of inventory forecasted is received and available to support the operations. The supply chain specialist will be required to report on all key activities involved in stock planning, warehousing, and distribution. There will be close collaboration between the supply chain specialist and both internal and external stakeholders. This is a permanent position based in Sandton, Johannesburg, Gauteng.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- B Comm Supply Chain or B (Eng) Industrial Engineering
- Typically, 3 -5 years’ experience in FMCG or Retail supply chain departments (non-negotiable)
- Ms Excel (vlook-up, pivots, sum if’s, variance analysis, moderate modelling - forecasting templates) (Non-Negotiable) Excel and the ability to work with raw data is key
- MS Powerpoint and MS Word (moderate)
- Process improvement capabilities
- Broad knowledge of end-to-end supply chain management.
- Knowledge of JD Edwards ERP system/Syspro/SAP
- An understanding of forecasting/replenishment systems
- A good base knowledge of supply chain as a whole
- Supply chain analyst, Demand Planner, and Buyer profiles could be considered

**Duties**:

- Responsible for inventory forecasting and inventory pipeline management process, including back-order management
- Close coordination with Sales and Marketing in respect of inventory forecasting.
- Coordinating with Custom House Agent (CHA) for custom clearance of Air or Sea shipment, including the early warning of shipment to 3PL and import control reporting.
- Responsible for resolving day-to-day supply chain queries and OTIF management
- Responsible for accuracy of the inventory ledger and all resultant reports.
- Responsible for inventory accuracy between warehousing and local ERP system.
- Monitor Sales Return & coordinate between Dealer & 3PL (Third Party Logistics) for Pick Up
- Acts as an active member as part of the Global supply chain team representing South Africa.
- Supports the Operations Manager as directed.
