Join an international IT MSP as a Senior SQL Database Administrator on a 6 Months fixed-term contract. Be a key player in their team, delivering SQL database support and project services remotely to multiple customers in adherence to SLAs and KPIs.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide incident management, diagnosis, and resolution.
- Understand and proactively meet SLAs in a production environment.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and customers.
- Implement infrastructure changes, patches, and perform proactive maintenance.
- Liaise with ITIL process-based teams such as Incident Management, Change Management, and Problem Management.
- Use ITSM toolsets to track work progress.
- Collaborate with vendors for innovative solutions and issue resolution.
- Contribute to customer service improvement initiatives.

**What You Will Do**:

- Create and manage multiple databases, assist in capacity planning.
- Monitor, maintain database systems, and troubleshoot issues.
- Ensure data integrity and security, managing roles and permissions.
- Use tools like SQL Profiler for database tuning.
- Develop and implement solutions for back-ups, restoration, and replication.
- Create and manage constraints and indexes.
- Support software developers with database operations.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Set up and maintain database infrastructure for BI needs.
- Assist with transitions from on-premises to cloud solutions.

**Essential Skills/Requirements**:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in MS SQL database environment.
- Solid experience with SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Assertiveness in explaining technical standpoints to customers.
- Passion for customer satisfaction and service excellence.
- Remote work capability, independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to perform well under pressure.
- Knowledge of Oracle (advantageous).

**Desirable Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 6 to 10 years’ experience in administering MS SQL server databases.
- Extensive experience in T-SQL, stored procedures, and query tuning.
- Experience in SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, and ETL development.
- Sound knowledge of RDBMS concepts, database architecture, and SQL/T-SQL.
- Proficiency with SQL server profiler for monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Experience in SQL Server Clustering and HA technologies.
- Knowledge of other databases (MySQL, NoSQL) and MCTIP certification advantageous.
- Innovative approach to upgrading systems with new technologies.
