Our Productions company is looking for a Painter / Plasterer / Skimmer to join us for the renovation of a company house.

This role will be responsible for painting, plastering, and wallpapering public and back of house areas to ensure a safe, efficient, well-maintained environment.

Main duties include:

- Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc.
- Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (eg. Plaster).
- Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right colour or texture.
- Remove fixtures such as pictures, doorknobs, lamps, and electric switch covers prior to painting.
- Maintain (paint, wallpaper, plaster, etc.) all public areas and guest rooms on an on-going basis to Keep the hotel décor in good condition.
- Tape off areas when needed.
- Operate, clean, and maintain all painting equipment, including brush, roll, sprayers and electro-static sprayers, pumps, etc.
- Safely store and label all materials.
- Adhere to all health and safety precautions.
- Assist with general maintenance duties as and when required.
- Respond to routine and emergency calls for repairs and service.
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma; successful completion of an apprenticeship (advantageous)
- Proven experience as a painter.
- Previous experience in a luxury hospitality environment is advantageous.
- Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques.
- Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc.).
- Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders etc.
- Good basic math skills.
- Basic carpentry skills required.
- Great attention to detail.
