**JOB DESCRIPTION - INTERNAL SALES & SALES ASSISTANT**

The Mining Internal Sales & Sales Assistant is a multifunctional office based role. Including Internal sales, service, and customer service for our customers in the mining industry. Also including Sales assistant for the External Sales Executives

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Understanding customer needs and requirements
- Routing qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure
- Support Sales Executives with quotations & procurement if required
- Support Sales Executives with administrative requirements, arrange meetings
- Perform effective assistance to clients when required
- Internal Sales reporting and follow up on quotations
- Working towards achieving the sales target
- Conduct market research to evaluate gaps and opportunities
- Seek new opportunities through networking, cold calling, and social media channels
- Collaborate within teams to achieve better results
- Take feedback from customers and share it with support teams
- Follow up with Financial division and assist where necessary

**MARKETING**
- Ensure register of marketing material is updated at all times
- Search for possible marketing events and expo's. All events to be recorded. Checklists to be completed for all events.
- Client invites to be created and sent. Attendance follow up to be done
- Social Media posts to be done as per agreement.
- Ensure clients Birthday lists are updated
- Ensure material collected for Newsletter and Company Profile

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Must have Matric (Grade 12)
- MS Office Diploma an advantage

**EXPERIENCE**
- Previous mining internal sales experience, machines, parts and services - min 5 years experience

**WORK ENVIRONMENT**
- Mining environment, must have knowledge of OHSA 29 of 1996

**SKILLS**
- _Proficiency in English_
- Fast learning ability and passion for sales
- Self-motivated professional with a result-oriented approach
- _Effective Communication Skills_

**Job Types**: Temporary, Temp to perm

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Phalaborwa, Limpopo: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- High School (matric) (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Sales: 5 years (required)

License/Certification:

- MS Office Diploma Advantageous (preferred)
