**The Position**

The Scrum Master will be responsible for reporting on the following:

- Team velocity
- Sprint burndown
- Impediment resolution
- Sprint retrospective action items/continuous improvement
- Stakeholder feedback
- Team morale
- Team effectiveness
- Team self-organisation

**Responsibilities**:

- ** Coaching and Guidance**:

- Coaching and guiding the team and organization on how to adopt and use Agile and Scrum values, principles and practices and values to delight customers.
- Guiding the team in tracking and reporting on progress using appropriate metrics and regular feedback sessions with stakeholders.
- Guiding the team on self-organizing and efficiency and helping them to take ownership of their work and decisions, and to focus on delivering value during each sprint.
- ** Scrum Maturity Assessment**
- Assessing the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization.
- ** Trust Building**:

- Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem solving.
- Promoting a culture of collaboration within the team and across teams and departments, encouraging transparency and open communication.
- ** Facilitation**:

- Facilitating getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work.
- Facilitating Scrum ceremonies, discussions, decision making, and conflict resolution
- Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
- Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to refining, prioritising and maintaining the product backlog in line with the product vision.
- Providing all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example
- Facilitating continuous improvement within the team in terms of processes, tools and techniques, based on feedback and retrospectives.
- Identifying and removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel or stakeholders to remove the impediment.

**Requirements**:

- 3 -4 years+ proven experience as a Scrum Master or team lead
- Experience in agile project frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe etc)
- PSM or CSM
- Have a servant-leader outlook
- Strong facilitation skills
- Understand and have the ability to teach/coach teams on Agile values and principles in a variety of business settings
- Model Agile values and principles
- Display continuous development in own skill set
- Strong mentoring and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate team members
- Problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Applicable knowledge of the technologies used by the team
