**Senior Bookkeeper Job Spec**

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain monthly client base of 15 - 20 clients
- Maintain annual client base of 15-20 clients
- Processing of books up to trial balance from source documents supplied
- Compilation of monthly management accounts
- Maintenance of fixed asset register (including raising / disposal of fixed assets and passing of depreciation)
- Reconciliation of intercompany loan accounts
- Reconciliation of bank loans, bonds and vehicle finance agreements
- Full understanding of debtors and creditors and ability to reconcile such
- Maintaining monthly vat and employee cost reconciliations
- Preparation of cash flow projections (as needed)
- Preparation of year end supporting document file for compilation of annual financial statements
- Understanding of inventory and foreign currencies advantageous

Experience / Attributes:
Minimum of 4 years within a senior bookkeeping function

Must have a strong understanding of vat principles

Pastel BIC experience advantageous

Quickbooks, Sageone & Xero experience advantageous

E-filing and Easyfile experience advantageous (not essential)

VIP Payroll experience advantageous (not essential)

Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)

Need to be attention to detail driven

Strong time management skills and ability to handle pressure

Need to have the ability to use your own initiative to tackle any problems and see them through to completion

Ability to work independently as well as being a team player in order to meet department goals.

Own transport essential (may be required to travel to clients)

Position available immediately.

In terms of salary R17 000 - R22 000 dependant on experience.
