Fundraising and Marketing Manager

**Main Job Responsibilities**
- Planning, budgeting, and developing the fundraising and marketing strategy and functions.
- Experiment with, analyze, implement and manage a variety of digital marketing approaches content creation, content curation, publicity, social media, lead income generation campaigns, etc.
- Setting goals and developing plans for business and revenue growth.
- Researching, planning, and implementing new target market initiatives.
- Researching and identify potential local and international corporates, trusts, foundations and governmental prospects to meet operational, project and capital requirements.
- Pursuing leads and moving them through the funding cycle.
- Developing quotes and proposals for prospective funders that connects with and converts our target audiences.
- Coordinate marketing activities and events for the organisation.
- Manage and maintain Social Media Platforms and the ELRU website.
- Meet the weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual fundraising targets.
- Participate in developing and evaluating feasibility studies and research proposals.
- Implement and Manage a CRM system for the organisation.
- Produce the ELRU Annual Report.
- Complete funder reports.
- Analyse competitor activity in the NGO sector (market research).
- Build an effective Resource Mobilisation Department.
- Increase income generation by identifying and developing new revenue streams whilst maximising existing opportunities, including trusts and foundations, statutory, community, events, and direct campaigns.
- Support the marketing and Fundraising strategy of ELRUs Online Academy.

**Pre Requisite for Position**
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or Social Sciences.
- At least 5 years of work experience in Marketing, Communications, or Fundraising related positions.
- Strong communication skills: written, verbal and visual.
- Strong ability as a project manager, leading campaigns and projects from start to finish.
- Passion for the marketing industry and a solid understanding of different marketing techniques.
- Knowledge of and experience with media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods.
- A dual-minded approach: highly creative and excellent written communication skills.
- A strong grasp of the English language.
- Ability to communicate face-to-face with internal and external stakeholders.
- Must have a working knowledge of MS Office and good computer skills.
- Desire to grow leadership skills, to learn and develop the department into a cohesive team.
- Ability to create new ideas, relationships, systems, or products, including creative contributions.
- Experience working with local NGOs and government bodies would be an advantage.

**Job Type**: Temp to perm
Contract length: 12 months

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Lansdowne, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
