**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
As the Head of Lecturing (Learning Experience) at HyperionDev, you will lead the critical function of academic (lecture) delivery. This is a new role that exists within the Learning Experience part of the organisation. The Head of Lecturing will oversee all aspects of HyperionDev's lecturer support and training to ensure that our students receive the best technical preparation possible as they embark on a career in tech.

Reporting directly to the Head of Delivery, the Head of Lecturing will also be responsible for line managing a number of HyperionDev lecturers - setting key goals and expectations as it relates to lecture planning, classroom management and teaching assistance. HyperionDev lecturers (instructional staff) are critical to student retention, experience and impact.

To excel in this role, you need to be able to think strategically and prioritise effectively in order to deliver on ambitious targets related to lecture support and quality academic delivery. It will require someone who can manage multiple tasks and priorities people while keeping sight of bigger picture goals and targets.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Directly line-manage a number of HyperionDev lecturing staff.
- Review and oversee current lecturer training preparation and related improvement plans.
- Oversee lecturer support structures and resources to ensure learner success and improved bootcamp completion rates, retention & NPS scores.
- Streamline and scale lecturing strategies to drive efficiency while improving the student experience.
- Review, update, and oversee Lecturing success metrics related to lectures, and support the creation of additional student resources such as video tutorials, reading material, technical assessments, etc., to ensure an improved learning experience.
- Collaborate with HyperionDev's Head of Delivery and Head of Student Experience to plan relevant learner workshop content and event schedule.
- Work cross-functionally with HyperionDev's Engineering team to improve student user experience with HyperionDev dashboards and other platforms while driving lecturing scalability.
- Assist with managing recruitment, hiring, and onboarding, and other training and admin of new lecturing staff.

**REQUIREMENTS**:
**_Minimum_**:

- 5+ years of experience involved in a teaching, coaching, mentorship or consulting focused role ideally within the EdTech, traditional education, or other related space.
- 5+ years of direct team management experience, having directly line managed a team of 5+ individuals.
- A strong understanding of existing teaching frameworks and models.
- Strong technical acumen with experience developing interactive learning experiences.
- Experience working with online students or delivering remote academic support.
- Experience vetting and onboarding scalable coaching tools and platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skill

**_Preferred_**:

- A degree in Education, Learning Design, Instructional Design, or other relevant qualification
- 7+ years experience running a team focused on coaching, tutoring, mentorship, academic delivery or student support, preferably within the EdTech space
- A proven track-record of scaling teams and support structures within the startup environment, ideally in EdTech
