**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Livestock Management**: Supervise and coordinate all activities related to beef cattle, including feeding, breeding, health monitoring, and handling.
2. **Herd Health**: Implement and oversee herd health programs, including vaccination schedules, parasite control, and disease prevention measures.
3. **Breeding Program**: Manage breeding operations, including selection of breeding stock, artificial insemination (AI) procedures, and calving management.
4. **Grazing Management**: Develop and implement grazing plans to optimize forage utilization, rotational grazing, and pasture maintenance.
5. **Facility Maintenance**: Ensure proper maintenance of farm facilities, including fencing, water systems, handling facilities, and equipment.
6. **Financial Management**: Budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting related to livestock operations.
7. **Staff Supervision**: Lead and supervise farm staff, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations as needed.
8. **Record Keeping**: Maintain accurate records of livestock inventory, health records, breeding records, and other relevant documentation.
9. **Compliance**: Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and industry best practices.
**Skills and Qualifications**:
1. **Educational Background.* Matric Certificate. Proficient in english. Agricultural certificate/diploma or relevent degree will be a bonous.
2. **Experience**: Proven experience in livestock management, with a focus on beef cattle. Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role is highly desirable.
3. **Livestock Knowledge**: Strong understanding of beef cattle breeds, nutrition requirements, breeding techniques, and herd health management.
4. **Technical Skills**: Familiarity with farm machinery and equipment, basic understanding of agricultural technology, and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
5. **Leadership Abilities**: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
6. **Problem-Solving Skills**: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address farm-related challenges and make informed decisions.
7. **Organizational Skills**: Good organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
9. **Physical Fitness**: Ability to perform physical tasks related to farm operations and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
