Kantar Insights is looking for a Senior Research Executive - Brand Quantitative to be based in South Africa. Join the team

Purpose of the role

Responsible for the design, execution and delivery of research projects (both adhoc and tracking) from taking a brief to communicating results.

In collaboration with research managers and directors, will build existing business and client relationships and chip in to the development of the team.

Role responsibilities

Financial Management and Business Insight:

- Monitor project costs and complete within budget
- Assist in costing and supervising GM and profit on projects

Client Development and Management
- Displays a good understanding of TNS service offerings across whole business to clients
- Displays a detailed understanding of the client business and market

People Development & Management
- Provide support to the rest of team members in terms of checking, monitoring, mentoring and motivating
- Maintain motivation in team through clear communication
- Maintain strong and effective working relationship with Juniors
- Support a learning culture through development of junior team members
- Identify skills gaps and growth potential of the collaborators; provide on the job training

Research Skills Proposal, Design, Costing and Sampling
- Proficient user of the costing system
- Able to write proposals, design questionnaires/discussion guides and sample design and tab specs.

Questionnaire
- Ensure that questionnaires have been checked by all relevant departments and feedback has been incorporated into final version

Project Management
- Lead and evaluate project progress from inception through to conclusion
- Responsible for supervising and checking on Junior’s output
- Drive integration to deliver excellence
- Check data to ensure data quality and integrity (including rowtabs, forensics, normal tables, etc)
- Ensure implementation of the most simple, effective and fastest project schedules and processes

Project Administration

Analysis and Insights

Communication
- Responsible for preparation and writing of clear and accurate reports, presentations and proposals
- Is able to expertly present research results to client (smaller, less strategic projects)
- Liaise with client on project related matters

Leadership
- Proactively resolves problems
- Maintain very strong focus on efficiency and speed of delivery in all projects process / interactions
- Proactively responsible for own learning and development
- Promote team spirit
- Maintains personal well-being and balance
- Lead by example and live the Company's Values of Passion, Trust, Simplicity, Partnership and Celebration

Knowledge and skills required:

- Completed tertiary education - degree in Marketing, eg. B Com/B Bus Sc (preferably Hons)
- Minimum of 3-5 years work experience in the research industry
- Analytical ability with proven numeracy skills
- Digital literacy - proficiency on all MS Office packages
- Business writing skills and presentation skills
- Basic commercial skills (cost and time management)
- Strong attention to detail and Project Management skills
