**Introduction**

Our company is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Junior Planner to join our dynamic team.

**Duties & Responsibilities**

Key activities include, not to limit to:

- To manage the financial productivity of product strategies at category as well as at store level
- To maintain and adhere to fundamentals of planning at an international level across businesses
- To plan the right stock at the right time to the right geographical location to optimise sales and profitability through efficient management of inventory
- To predict and forecast consumer trends and place the relevant volume to capitalise on the financial opportunity
- To provide intelligence into the business through the understanding of key financial indicators and industry benchmarks so that the function can become a critical support function to all other functions within the organisation
- To ensure the correct balance of Inventory relevant to consumer preference
- IBT / Movement of stock from slow selling stores to fast selling ones to optimise sales and reduce gross markdowns
- Management of budgets stock turn
- Full management and accountability for financial KPI’s (Sales, GP, stockturn, GP%)
- Negotiation with suppliers on pricing / deliveries / cancellations etc
- Maintain profitable sales by reducing markdowns
- Dedicated to achieving Group budgets for all KPI’s
- Develop assortment plans (MAPS) and present to management the outcome of the buy
- Seasonal presentations to the business on the strategy and performance of merchandise direction
- Store visits / competitor visits to develop market intelligence and documenting reports for archives
- Correct and systematic allocation of stock into stores
- Price management and maintenance
- Admin related activities to ensure business health sustainability
- Frequent reporting to the business on the performance of the business
- Maintaining Group strategy of Fashion, Price, Exclusivity and Store Environment
- Maintain in-stock of key core items

**Desired Experience & Qualification**
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Financial Degree or equivalent will be advantageous
- Computer experience MS Office, Outlook
- Excel minimum Intermediate to advance level experience must be able to demonstrate same
- 5 years working experience in a similar role
- ACCPAC system experience will be advantageous
- Good Analytical skills
- Good problem solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Good interpersonal skills
