**About the Expeditor/Jnr Buyer role**

We are hiring an Expeditor/Assistant Buyer in our **Richmond Park, Cape Town** offices.

**Please take note that this is a 3 month Fixed Term Contract role.**

The assistant buyer/expeditor serves as a critical link between operations and sales, facilitating the flow of orders and materials between vendors, warehouse and customers. Skilled in working with vendors and customers to accurately track and ensure promised delivery dates are met. Works closely with the buying team to provide administrative and procurement support and will deliver value by providing weekly feedback on Open Purchase orders, Inter Company Transfer Orders (ICTO’), updating ETA’s and perform all Intercompany Transfers Orders.

**Role responsibilities**:

- Run daily Open PO reports and follow up with suppliers to confirm delivery dates, partially fulfilled orders, returns, etc.
- Run daily Open Transfer Order reports and follow up with warehouses on status of deliveries.
- Update POs with new ETA’s and communicate all changes to the relevant sales and project teams.
- Follow up with stores to ensure that all goods are booked in within 48 hours for stock levels to be updated to reflect accurately.
- Optimize the collection and delivery of goods to various branches to reduce courier cost.
- Identify reasons for suppliers not meeting scheduled ETA’s and keep record of all deviations.
- Participate in project meetings to provide updates and status of open PO’s, Intercompany Transfer order, etc.
- Follow up with finance on outstanding supplier invoices to ensure Rubicon accounts are in good standing with suppliers.

**Role requirements**:

- Matric/NQF4 or equivalent **essential**:

- 1-2 Years Minimum experience as an assistant buyer / expeditor
- Be able to effectively communicate with co-workers, customers and suppliers in a professional manner either written or verbally
- Be able to multitask and work well under pressure
- Be able to effectively problem solve
- Can focus and pay attention to details
- Experience using NetSuite
- Be self-driven and motivated
- Able to prioritize tasks with emphasis on time management

**Qualifications (advantageous)**
- Certificate in supply chain, logistics, procurement, Inventory Management or
- CIPS Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply.
