**About the role**
- This is an expat assignment in Shanghai, China. The Product Manager is ultimately responsible for working with Ping An Health (PAH) to co-develop core Vitality + Insurance capabilities to drive sustainable business growth in China. Through understanding the local market environment, cultivating strong relationships with Ping An colleagues, and identifying which areas of Discovery’s expertise can be adapted and leveraged, the role is to ensure the effective localization and joint implementation of strategic projects.**Key Outputs / Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to**:

- Vitality Shared-Value insurance capability localization.
- Managing the transfer of Vitality and Shared-Value insurance capabilities and best practice to PAH across a range of functions, including R&D, actuarial, marketing, risk management, operations, systems, and distribution.
- Supporting the design, rollout, and ongoing enhancement of the Vitality proposition and Shared-Value insurance in order to ensure:

- Alignment with Vitality principles.
- Incorporation of the latest global Vitality strategies and findings, and the latest advancements in health and wellness.
- PAH Shared-Value strategy
- Maintaining an ongoing understanding of the complete business context, in order to identify opportunities to localize and implement Discovery capabilities.
- Identifying practical pathways for implementable solutions, given the current status of PAH capabilities and objectives.
- Building a strategic business outlook to identify future ongoing opportunities for DSY capabilities to be effectively localized and implemented in PAH.
- Product management
- Securing alignment of objectives, resolution of obstacles and problems, and collaboration on strategic and operational decisions, with PAH, by creating and maintaining impactful relationships.
- Coordinating resources across PAH and DSY to effectively localize and transfer Shared-Value capabilities.
- Mobilizing DSY and PAH resources to adapt, localize and, where required, find ways to re-develop DSY capabilities and methodologies to suit the local Chinese market.
- Stakeholder management
- Locally work together with PAH colleagues to collaborate, manage, and co-deliver PAH-DSY key projects, and, critically, be accountable for implementation results.
