Reporting Structure:
The Centre Assistant will report to the Instructor/owner.

Job Overview:
The Centre Assistant is mainly responsible for marking and recording students' classwork and homework and is also required to assist the Instructor in instructional and administrative tasks.

Daily Tasks:

- Marking, analysing and recording students' classwork and homework
- Marking and analysing Kumon APP classwork and homework
- Ensuring that the marking station is running smoothly during class
- Assisting with class preparations
- Assisting the Instructor on the floor with basic instruction, as required

Monthly and Ad Hoc Tasks:
You will also be required to assist with the following tasks on a monthly or ad hoc basis:

- Stock take, including assisting with bi-annual stock take reporting
- Stock orders
- General administrative tasks

Training

A fundamental part of working in a Kumon centre is understanding that we are "unfinished." All staff members are required to train in the Kumon Method.

This may include on-the-job training, formal and informal training sessions held at the centre, online training and professional training by the Kumon South Africa training department.

Formalised Kumon worksheet training will also be an ongoing requirement.

**Requirements**:

- Matric certificate (with Mathematics, not Maths Literacy)
- An impeccable command of the English language (written and verbal)
- A passion for helping children learn and grow
- Previous experience in education or administration is advantageous, but not essential
- Basic computer literacy, including a basic working knowledge of tablets

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 8 per week

**Salary**: R60.00 per hour

- The Reeds, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
