**Opportunity Available Our leading client in the Automotive Sector is looking to employ a Metrologist to join their dynamic team in Rosslyn.**

- **To ensure that all products are tested correctly to meet the customer specification according to the control plan and test plan**
***:

- **To ensure supplied parts meet customer specification via inspection of products and supplier inspection reports.**
***:

- **To perform various destructive testing against customer-specific standards on product materials and composites including, inter alia, tensile testing, pull off tests, burn rates etc.**
***:

- **To perform colour measurements as and when required.**
***:

- **To perform microscopic evaluation of S&R weakening process.**
***:

- **To Control, monitor and communicate COP test**
***:

- **To Support other quality functions as and when required.**
***:

- **Support with Gauge control/Calibration**
***:

- **Perform receiving inspection as and when required.**
***:

- **Facilitate external testing requirements and plans**
***:

- **Ensure S&R and traceability compliance**
***:
***:

- **Record and maintain data, communicate results and follow reaction rules and plans. Drive corrective action.**
***:

- **Ensure the test methods used are correct and the latest version**
***:

- **Maintain records and work instructions for all tests and functions and minimum once per annum.**
***:

- **Quality Authority: Authority to stop non-conforming process and quarantine non-conforming products with immediate communication and instructions to correct process / product.**
***:

- **Raise Purchase orders when required for equipment, calibration repairs etc. PPAP parts (incl. purchase parts) 1st piece ok when applicable,Sampling inspections, Validate Process when required.**

- **Product audits**
***:

- **Problem solving (QRCI)**
***:

- **Review guage requirements in plant and advise / co-ordinate changes**
***:

- **For 3D measurements respect the relevant national & international standards**
***:

- **Manage calibration and R&R (Repeatability and Responsibility) for all measuring equipment (planning, execution, documentation).**

**Job Requirements**:
***
- **Grade 12**
***:

- **Technical Diploma/ BTech**
***:

- **3-5 Years Metrology Laboratory & Test Lab experience, preferably in an automotive component manufacturing environment**
