The **Instrumentation Mechanician UG **is responsible for providing dedicated technical and operational systems support to the operations. The role requires a degree of competence in instrumentation used in highly automated shafts. The role is further responsible to ensure that all systems are maintained and optimised to ensure that the capacity to the production process is maximised.

**Platinum**

**Job Description**:

- Your day-to-day duties will include:

- Identify areas of poor availability
- Disseminate best practice in instrumentation aspects
- System trouble shooting and hardware problems resolution
- Support on existing instrumentation
- Installation, calibration and maintenance of all equipment within the control solution
- Adherence to the Anglo Platinum Change Procedure
- Adherence to Anglo Platinum Standards

**This role is in the Engineering Department at a band C2 level reporting to the Instrumentation Technician.**
- Qualifications
- Grade 12 - Mathematics and Science / NQF level 3 equivalent
- Anglo Platinum recognised trade test
- 2 years applicable experience
- Schneider, Siemens and Rockwell PLC experience will be advantageous
- Computer literacy
- Code 8 driver’s license
- Good decision-making skills

Additional Information
- Must be able to do standby and overtime

Must be familiar with risk assessments procedures

If successful, you may be required to undergo a Medical Fitness Test
