Position Overview:_**

*** We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Commis 1 to join our team onboard one of our luxury cruise ships. As a Commis 1, you will work closely with our Executive Chef and Sous Chef to ensure the smooth operation of our onboard kitchen.**

Key Responsibilities:_**

- **Assist the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in the daily preparation of meals for guests and crew members**

***
- **Ensure all food is prepared and presented according to company standards and recipes**

***
- **Maintain a clean and organized work station at all times**

***
- **Follow all safety and sanitation procedures in the kitchen**

***
- **Monitor and maintain inventory levels of food and supplies**

***
- **Assist in the training and development of junior kitchen staff**

***
- **Communicate effectively with other team members to ensure a seamless operation in the kitchen**

***
- **Adapt to changes in the menu and assist in creating new dishes**

***
- **Follow all company policies and procedures**

Qualifications:_**

- **Minimum of 1 year experience as a Commis 1 or similar role in a high-volume kitchen**

***
- **Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred**

***
- **Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations**

- **Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment**

***
- **Strong communication and teamwork skills**

***
- **Flexibility to work long hours and adapt to changing schedules**

***
- **Positive attitude and a passion for food and cooking**

- **Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time**

- **Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical examination and background check**
