Storeman

**Experience**
The successful incumbent must have at least three (3) years' experience as storeman within the manufacturing sector.

Experience with different types of steel will be advantageous.

**Formal qualifications**
- Valid driving license code 08
- Own transport
- A valid medical certificate certifying the incumbents fitness status to work
- Competency with Microsoft (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Access and Project)
- Matric or equivalent NQF level
- A valid forklift licence
- A technical qualification may be advantageous

**Responsibilities**
- Ensuring that the storeroom operates at peak efficiency by supervising daily activities (including inventory control, space management, floor productivity, housekeeping and material distribution)
- The supervision of the receipt of materials as well as distribution to different storage spaces
- Reviewing the workflow and space requirements, equipment layout and action plans of the workshop
- Managing storeroom assistant, stock, tools and other equipment
- Ensuring the maintenance of company assets
- Implementing and enforcing operational policies and procedures and complying with legal regulations
- Maintaining documentation and accurate recordkeeping of storeroom activities
- Keeping up with inventory and inventory controls
