**FUNCTION**: Operations - Procurement

**LOCATION**:Heidelberg, Gauteng, South Africa
**WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR**
- To understand customer/business unit requirements including their business goals, targets, initiatives, directions for their appointed end market
- Deliver the aligned category financial objectives from procurement sourcing processes
- To manage the customer relationship and all aspects of procurement related customer service for Indirect goods and services for End Markets
- To facilitate and ensure the End-to-End Sourcing process for Indirect category
- To collate all relevant End Market Business Unit procurement requirements, providing the necessary information to ensure robust planning, budget and target setting.
- Ensure compliance for active suppliers within End Market and Category
- Collaborate to deliver End Market contracts in conjunction with Legal and Relationship Manager and ensure all contracts are agreed with the relevant business owners in alignment with BAT ESG and EHS requirements.
- Ensure that the appropriate metrics, i.e. measurement tools, are in place and being used effectively to monitor and explain overall Indirect Procurement performance
**ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE**
- 3-5 years of experience in Sourcing, Procurement, Finance, Commercial, Supply Chain, Operations and/or Account Management
- Indirect Sourcing experience would be an added advantage
- Experience in managing projects, especially to execute category and sourcing strategies at end market level
- Experienced in the sourcing process, including negotiation and contracts placement
- Good understanding of key cost drivers and evaluation of profit and loss
- Experience with procurement processes, platforms and policies
- Knowledge of corporate regulations and local legislation to ensure sound input during negotiations and input to contracts
- Understand of risk and compliance controls
- Good level of Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
**Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required**
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant business discipline (Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics Procurement
and/or Engineering)
- MCIPS/CIMA/MBA/CA are beneficial.
