Vamping Supervisor

Mediator between BML and appointed vamping contractor.
- Identifying old underground areas to vamp/ sweep.
- Reconnaissance of potential mud/ old ore tonnage and grade.
- Reconnaissance of services needed for contractor to work safely and effectively, by identifying hazards and risks as far as reasonably practicable.
- Managing of designated sampling crew.
- Reporting of all identified remnant areas.
- Monthly reconciliation between planned vs actual tons delivered.
- Grade 12 with Mathematics & Science
- Metalliferous Mining Blasting Certificate
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a mining environment
- Mines Rescue Services (Advantageous)
- Knowledge of old working areas (Fairview and Sheba Specific)
- Leadership skills as well as a team player
- Proper communication and reporting skills
- Innovative and curious mindset
