Spray Painter

Our client is looking for a skilled and Qualified Spray Painter for a Company that does refurbishment of Mining Equipment based in Benoni, Gauteng.
Applicants must have 3 (three) or more years working experience within the Mining Equipment.

Job profile:
As Lead Spray Painter, you will be responsible for spraying each layer according to specifications and managing each project on time and within budget. To ensure success as a spray painter, you should have excellent hand-eye coordination, and strong attention to detail.
You will be responsible for managing paint shop team members and therefore must be reliable, have good work ethic and have excellent workmanship qualities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform preparation works and mining equipment spray painting jobs
- Sand down, cleaning of mining equipment.
- Administer mixing of colors to ensure color matching on all new and old mining equipment
- Carry out spray painting and polishing works in accordance with Company’s SOP
- Maintain consistent high quality of work performance
- Ensuring equipment is kept clean after each day to ensure it is ready for the next job.
- Managing time effectively

**Requirements**:

- Qualified spray painter certificate
- 3 or more years Mining Equipment spray painter experience
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- In-depth knowledge of spraying techniques
- Ability to see subtle color differences
- Experience with breathing masks and protective clothing
- Have a passion for their work and can deliver quality results.
- Medically fit and Ability to stand for long periods
- Time management skills
- Can work under pressure and maintain quality performance
- Should have own reliable transport
- Good knowledge of paint mixing techniques and be able to produce even, hard-wearing coatings that exactly match the colors and finishes requested.
