Draughtsman

**Qualifying Criteria**

A permanent position exists for a Draughtsman in the Technical Department. The successful incumbent must have the following requirements:
Matric + National Certificate in: Multi-Disciplinary Drawing Office Practice which includes:

- Fitting & Machining N3 (Minimum Level)
- Physical Science N3 (Minimum Level)
- Engineering Drawings N3 (Minimum Level)
- Mathematics N3 (Minimum Level)
- Phase 2 Practical Machining (Minimum Level)

In addition to the above the applicant must successfully completed training in:

- Engineering Technical Drawings
- AutoCAD (Drawing Package)
- Solid Works (3D Drawing Package)
- Draft Sight / Adobe Acrobat / Paint / Microsoft Office: Excel, Word and Power Point.

The applicant must have at least 5 years’ experience in:

- A production Cast Iron Foundry.
- A Precision Manufacturing Facility.

**Responsibilities**

Ø Non-conformance / scrap statistics (operators/setters) - Microsoft excel format

Ø Quality Awareness - Microsoft word format

- Work Instructions & procedures & Policies & Registers
- Work Centre Manuals - work centre & pdf system
- Master drawing / operational approval drawings & pdf system
- Design & Development Planning.
- Engineering changes & pdf system / registers:

Foundry changes

Runner feeder system changes

Ø Work instruction and Procedures and policies
- Compile for each machining operations for manufacturing and for suppliers.
- Compile Occupational health and safety environment

Ø Creating Catalogues and flyers (from excel, word, PowerPoint, paint)
- Technical information
- Dimension of induvial parts
- Porting suitability
- Exploded assembly view of detail parts
- 3D Modelling

Ø Approvals: Master pattern / core box / core plugs and castings
- Check all dimensions and award authorization to manufacturing

- Draw parts from stock to simulate customer complaint
- Assist with Photograph of return non-conforming products

Ø Support sales department.

Ø Approve all assembly books and porting books

Ø Engineering (Designing)
- Draft of mechanical equipment (CNC Machining & Final Inspection productions)

Fixtures, Jigs, clamps, tooling, dowel plates, plug gauges, ring gauge, setting pieces
- Draft of all mechanical equipment: Maintenance (Machine) Measurement and create a drawing of machine parts

Ø Development improvement
- Review assembly drawings
- Check hydraulic parts and improve manufacturing process
- Update final drawings

Ø Bill of material / Bom costing

Ø Proto-type data packs
- Production schedule
- Amendments as per changes
- Programming changes

Ø General Drawings
- Eg. Factory plans, machine for floor plan

Ø Precision measuring - Critical dimension

Pay: From R22,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:
