This large and diversified project logistics service provider based in Port Moresby is well positioned for considerable growth from the current LNG and infrastructure investment period in Papua New Guinea. With an increasing blue-chip client and project portfolio, and joint ventures with international partners, attracting highly motivated, committed and innovative individuals into the senior executive leadership team is paramount for continued sustainable development of the group.

The Role

The organisation is currently seeking a dynamic Chief Financial Officer who can provide the contemporary financial leadership to support a growing business group through the next PNG resource and infrastructure growth period. This position is critical to the continued success of the growth trajectory of the business and acquisition / development of new business models.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for Strategic Financial Planning and Modelling, Financial Governance & Reporting, and Operational Improvements.

This is a great opportunity for an established or emerging CFO seeking a role that requires you to be centrally engaged in corporate finance requirements, business transformation and ensuring the financial teams and systems are meeting business requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Develops and articulates a comprehensive financial strategy for the business based on business growth and plans
- Monitors the present and future capital requirements of the organisation; reviews and periodically determines the long-and short-term financial objectives and provides guidance/advice to Executive Management
- Ensures the effective integration of the Company’s strategic plan with its trading activities and day-to-day operations

Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor''''s/College Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent is essential for this position (An MBA qualification is advantageous)
- Minimum 10+ years’ work experience in Financial / Management Accounting - the last 5 years must have been in management role in a reputable and structured business environment (preferably in an Oil & Gas Company/Logistics)
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills are required
- Operational accounting and ERP system experience is required
- Strong communication and participative leadership style is essential to support the empowerment of a good local team
