Production Planner

Our client is seeking to employ an individual with outstanding planning and organisational skills to help facilitate and plan workflow throughout the production process.

**Responsibilities**:
Plan and prioritize orders in production to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
Planning manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand in each department.
Liaise with the production manager to plan when overtime shifts may be necessary, according to production needs.
Monitor orders in production daily, to ensure that they will finish within the allocated time
Maintain and manage the production scheduling system and plan the execution of all production-related work to meet customer demands as well as planned production dates - the platform is fully optimized and used by all departments.
Ensure that employees are updating order statuses on all relevant production planning platforms.
Problem solving issues with relevant departments when they arise, aiming for minimum disruption.
Obtain output information (number of finished products/orders, percentage of defectives, delays, etc).
Qualifications: Degree/Diploma in technical / mechanical / production is preferred.
Experience: 3 - 5 years proven experience as a Production Planner.

- Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles.
- Experience in Manufacturing resource planning.
- Working knowledge of MS Office and planning systems/platforms.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
